   Kazbegi is located in Mtskheta-Mtianeti. The townlet of Stepantsminda is its administrative center. Winter is cold and dry, and summer - cool. The municipality is rich with glaciers, rivers, mineral waters and lakes. There are lots of interesting places: Garbani Church, Gergeti Trinity Church, Sno Castle, Betlemi cave, etc.

 Ananuri Church and Fortress are located in Ananuri village. The complex includes monuments of cultic, national and military monuments.

Gergeti Trinity Church is located in Kazbegi municipality at 2200 m above the sea level. The exact date of its built is unknown.
