Batumi Botanical Garden was officially opened on the 3rd of November in 1912. The collection of the garden consists of 2037 taxonomic units of the woody plants, 104 of them are of Caucasian origin.
Petra Fortress is located in Tsikhisdziri. Its name has originated from the Greek word "Petra" which means "stone", "rock". In the center of the fortress is a 10th-century church.
Sameba Chruch is located on the hill and from there can be seen the mesmerizing panoramic view of Batumi. It was built in the 90s.

Gonio Fortress is the oldest fortress in Georgia. The length is 228m and the width - 195. The older name of the fortress was Apasaros. It derives from the myth which was dedicated to Argonauts.
