   Mtirala National Park is located in Adjara region. It is unique and rich by its plants. There are 284 species, 202 genera and 68 families of the plants. 16 of them are endemic ones. The fauna is represented by 94 species. We must highlight, that the existence and role of the park are really invaluable. The park helps to maintain the natural ecosystem balance across the Kobuleti-Chakvi Range which avoids flooding and erosion-landslide occasions.

Mtirala National Park is a protected area in Adjara. It is the wettest territory in the country. The inhabitants of the park are Brown bear, bobcat, wolf, mole, Caucasian squirrel, rabbit, fox, etc.

Petra fortress - The ruins of the fortress are dated by VI century AD. Due to the uniqueness of the strategic location both in the military and economic sense, emperor Justinian built here the town. There was the road which connected Western Georgia and the provinces of Byzantine Empire.
